The Elmo Wierenga Ottawa Hills Alumni scholarship was established by Mr. Jack Clifford in 2001. Mr. Clifford was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School and wanted to honor his high school principal, Mr. Elmo Wierenga who encouraged him to go to college. He wanted to provide resources for students at Ottawa Hills to also seek their full potential by going on to college.
